Licensing

Every image on OpusLibrary is in one of two groups. The license is shown on each image page.

Public domain

Older art (William Hole, Alexandre Bida, Harold Copping, French holy cards, Library of Congress, The Met Open Access, archive.org scans, and saint portraits from Wikimedia Commons) published before 1931 or otherwise in the US public domain. You may use these for any purpose. Credit to the artist and source is appreciated. Public-domain status can differ outside the United States; check your local law.

Our own work

Scripture-reading illustrations, daily montages and Gospel of Mark children's illustrations were created by us. You may use them free of charge for parish, school, ministry, catechetical, and personal non-commercial use: bulletins, slides, websites, and social posts. Please credit “OpusLibrary.com”. Do not resell the images as stock or as standalone prints, and do not imply endorsement. Ask us about commercial licensing.

What we don't include

No copyrighted art, and no copyrighted texts such as modern Bible translations. Anything with an unclear license is left out until it has been verified.
